@NarniaNerd I think it’s pretty simple, Victor’s in the box, and, although he tells people he is the real Joe, he knows, as well as Sam does, that if joe meets his sister, he will develop control of his power and kill Victor. Dont ask me what is the conection between a sister and super powers. And sorry for possible mistakes, my english ain’t so good.

Congrats on the new job and thx for the new episode. Great twist and cliffhanger. One thing that I miss when getting such a cliffhanger is the 5 second zoom and screen pauze on the character to let the cliffhanger sink into the brain.. Now its so abrubt knowing we have to wait again for th enext episode… Those 5 seconds can prepare one for that black void of uncertainty. ;) Is the world going to end? Will Evil Joe take over the plant mind? Or annika’s?…. ohh the possibilities are endless..

I think I posted this at the time, but one possibility I saw when the cage was damaged was that Victor’s memories, thoughts, psyche, etc might have leaked through the cracks a little, causing the amnesia and apparent damage control. It’s quite possible Joe doesn’t have any siblings, and it’s Victor’s family that he remembers. The other option is that Joe is starting to leak into Victors mind. I have a feeling that before this is all over they will cease being two entities, whether due to one or the other of them dying, or both blending into an amalgamation of their memories and personalities.

i´m with lucas….victor is freaking out cause he knows that meeting his sister, someone he genuinely cares about, will be one killer motivation for joe to fight – be it against the machines, vampires OR victor. so he seizes this last chance to take control of joe before he can meet annika. the only thing that keeps me from freaking out is that when rosa, sam and maybe even gorp work together they should be able to put victor back into a cage….btw, shouldn´t rosa due to their blood-connection, sense that something is off right away?

Inner Joe is apparently somehow the real Joe, who is still supposed to be Victor. Maybe Inner Joe absorbed the unconscious Victor a long time ago, or something?

Joe, I love your comic, I love what you do, but we all are here because we care about you and we think you have a problem, you’re addicted to cliff hangers, I know this is hard to hear but it needs to get out in the open so we can help you. And so the rest of us can finally see Annika and Joe finally meet :P

WOW, I think this is the first legitimate cliffhanger we’ve had for a while (a well-timed bombshell dropping of new info)

Most of them had been what will do about the choices that have been stewing for a while, but this, this is something shockingly well placed.
Victor is within Joe, perhaps because he wanted the happiness Joe enjoyed before the ‘accident’.
Perhaps Victor simply wanted a ‘normal human’ life, or perhaps through envy he just doesn’t want anyone else having one…
Either way I didn’t think Victor had such a ‘human’ reason for wanting to live.
Perhaps both Joe and Victor can be saved..?

I have said before that maybe Joe will recognize Annika, but maybe she won’t recognize him. If Victor, or whoever is (was) trapped in Joe’s mind, knows Annika, maybe she is like Joe and has one of the subjects within her, but is kinda sleeping (what could explain why she has no powers like Joe). Or maybe like someone said before, Victor’s memories “leaked” to Joe’s own conscience, since they are two minds in one body, we don’t know what effects one could have over each other. Oh well, all we can do is wait (im)patiently for the next scene. Congratulations on the comic author Joe and in your new job :D

I would think it’s pretty simple – Joe is more or less currently defeated, without the previous external help, Victor would have taken his body by now. This breakout is his last ditch attempt at control, because if Joe has Annika to protect in the colony, he becomes the big hero and Victor would lose his power to Joe, lose the body – lose everything.

Sounds awesome for you Joe best of luck, cant help but feel that this could be on the back burner for a while so I hope you continue, I have currently applied to do an animation course next year and it is interesting to see how well it can turn out with your comics.
