I liked that sign that the screen scrolled past after all that talk about a ‘perfect being’. “Nobodies Perfect” indeed.
Well, that looks more like another robot than a missile, but it certainly looks like a pretty cool missile! Not every day you see missiles with two jets on them instead of one a many. Also not every day you see a missile that looks like an engine instead of a rocket. XD Well, if I were Bernie, I probably would have gotten behind the missile and shot it until it exploded, or at least until it changed course. Can’t wait to see what happens next! I’m guessing either Doc and Rosa will show up and intervene, or Joe will gain the instantaneous transportation and super strength.
It seems like Samuel was very pointed with that conversation- is he trying to start a breeding program of exceptional individuals or something?

I’ve been reading the comments and how some people say that Bernie might die…. i am so paranoid for Bernie now, if he goes Jess and the others aren’t going to be the only ones crying :(

So, the town doctor was able to walk to the machine city in like a day, right? What is that, 30 miles?
Why don’t they manufacture a missile that can cover the range from the city to the New Hammerston? THIS IS THE ONLY INCONSISTENCY IN THE COMIC AND ITS RUINING EVERYTHING, lol

I’m not sure why they didn’t just throw joe, or shoot the missle (Bernie’s a sniper and it’s moving in a straight line).
*Missile machine comes*
Fuck.
Joe, first of all: Love your comic. Been reading from the start and loving it, always happy to see a new episode. You leave some good cliffhangers, making people sweat and pray while they wait. You make the characters very interesting, too. Each one has a definite personality, nobody seems bland.
Now, on the missile. Damn! This could lead to a really big trouble. I kind of hope that Bernie manages to get a good line of fire, stop and shoot a solid series of hits to the missile to either knock it off course or to blow it up where it is. Just a question of how close he needs to get in order to get an accurate sight of it, and whether the missile or his armor’s jets prove faster.
Also, missing Scrufflebeck but I am certain you got a good plan in mind and looking forward to seeing what comes out!
at the guys who are asking, why bernie doesnt just shoot the missile.
probably simply, because that missile is huge and a tiny bullet (if he is using a regular sniper rifle) wont probably do more than scratch the surface a little.
a missile like that normally isnt armed when fired. it is armed, when it comes into close distance of its target, shortly before impact.
its unlikely, that firing a bullet at it, will trigger the detonation or get it off course.
okay, so this just occurred to me when I was going back through chapter 7 today…when Dr Torres (or whatever you wanna call him) created the shells, didn’t he start by infecting them with the zombie virus? And, basing off of the belief that Rosa gets her zombie immunity from Joe’s blood, wouldn’t she technically be getting her power from the virus in the first place? Or was there some completely different part of her that was immune in the first place?! AHH! I’m gonna be up all night…btw, great scene!!! Please don’t kill off Bernie…..or the colony!!!
