RIP to a Legend | January 26, 2020

by Joe

I was shocked and heartbroken to hear that Kobe Bryant died today. I wasn’t a fan of his or the Lakers but I love basketball and I greatly appreciate what he did for the sport, even his 81-point godly performance against my hometeam, the Raptors. I’m inspired by his work ethic and the Mamba mentality that he so eloquently portrayed. Sure, he wasn’t perfect but no one is and I, for one, am only focused on the positive and motivating force that he exuded as one of the kings of my favourite sport.

What saddens me most is the loss of his 13-year-old daughter and the thought of what his surviving wife and children must be going through. I don’t care how much fame and money you have, the grief and pain of losing a life partner and a child is shared by everyone. The potential futures, new experiences, family milestones… all lost in an instant.

But what is never lost are the memories and legacy that he leaves behind. RIP, Kobe, Gianna, and the others lost in this tragedy.

If I recall correctly, aren’t the machines starting to slow down due to a lack of resources over time? So the machines though very hard to beat would have a more limited scope of the planet than anticipated unless I’m wrong…

@Jae let us ravel in the dust cloud of the almighty NYOOM
@ShiftyOne idk if the plants are panicking from Samuel’s existence, or their using the machines as an excuse to justify dominance, but it seems they could alter the psychic transfer to benefit Rosa more as the plants’ proxy since it’s pointless to strengthen Samuel as well.

As long as there are more resources where the machines spread, the machines should make it. Especially since they have such a compact resource as nuclear power – or perhaps they already found something better. Though maybe it’s more about building materials. But anyway, they have all the planet worth of resources. They can at least spread across a whole continent.
