Sorry I haven’t been updating you all on The Pocalypse Defense 2 progress as much I should have!
The game will feature a huge explorable map, including New Hammerston, a few machine cities, some mutant strongholds, some plant territories, and a few small colonies. Not to mention the rest of the city! :D So, I’ve working on that map for some time now (and throw in making The Pocalypse scenes)! I’m hoping that I’ll finish it soon so that I can move on to units, NPCs, and the perks that I owe all of our awesome funders :D
That’s what’s been happening with art! On the programming end, Rich has been working on an amazing tool that makes putting the art and game together easy enough for even an artist like me to understand :D This tool (which is called the Grand Unifying Tool, or GUT :D) will also help us with future games!
We’re headed to Project Play in London, Ontario on September 16. We hope to have a very small demo of TPD2 ready for visitors to play and we’ll also be giving Mutant Tier (and higher) funders a chance to play it too :D If you’re in the area, please say hello!
I’ll be updating you more as I finish the game’s map. The map is by far the biggest single hurdle in the entire art list so it’ll be a HUGE load off my shoulders once I finish it :D Again, we don’t have a final release date but we’re aiming for December!
