Back in Canada! :D 07/21/2012

by Joe

Got a scene doooone! :D Thank you so much for waiting so long!

My family and I have been back in our home country, Canada, for a few days now and we’re all getting used to the 13 hour time difference :D I’m about there but I still feel tired from time to time. I’ve got a ton of work to do with the comic, The Pocalypse Defense 2, finishing the perks for all you funders (thank you all for your patience, too!), and a secret The Pocalypse project (that I will reveal another time) so I have no time for sleep! :D

Thank you again for waiting and I can’t make any promises about scene updates for the time being so be sure to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and/or RSS to stay updated :D

Enjoy Scene 19 – “He’s Fine”!

I thought of a few names for Oscar’s family’s boat until I settled on the Ark. Vote to see what those names looked like! :D Please vote for The Pocalypse here everyday! I’m going to try coming up with a new incentive every update (or every few updates) :D Thank you for voting!

Glad to hear you guys got home without a hitch. Another great scene, and the interactive part was a really nice touch, would love to see more of that in the future ;)

Glad you’re set!

I sometimes question the intelligence of Joe…

ROM! on July 21, 2012 at 10:12 pm

I had a bit of a problem with clicking on the zombie that’s in the doorway – I had to click a little to the right side of him, which was weird. D:

Other than that, the sound of the board hitting Joe’s face is priceless. x3 It’d have been funnier if – like the older scenes – the sound kept going after the scene was over. :3

Love how Joe keeps hitting himself

Keir on July 21, 2012 at 10:14 pm

I’m just imagining Joe chanting like the monks in ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’.

LonePaladin on July 21, 2012 at 10:32 pm

the hit boxes for the two zombies inside the door way are a bit off – a bit too much to the right I think?

Oh and, that Joe scene is priceless.

Welcome back to Canada Joe! I have just joined the fine folks that enjoy your webcomic, and I read a while back that you thought it would be cool to be buried and have a tree planted on top. Well, I found this – http://bigthink.com/design-for-good/this-awesome-urn-will-turn-you-into-a-tree-after-you-die – and thought you might think it was cool. :)

Joe is… becoming more and more disturbing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character just like him, really unique. Also, thank you for letting me shoot the zombies.

DramaNoMore on July 22, 2012 at 4:45 am

Glad you’re enjoying being home Joe. And I lost it at Joe hitting his head with the wooden panel xD And I loved the Shoot-the-Zombies scene, amazing work as always

Ph4ntomS33ker on July 22, 2012 at 4:47 am

I loved the interactive scene, looking forward to more of such, in the future. Plus Joe hitting his face with a board, lol moment XD

Erik on July 22, 2012 at 4:14 pm

nice scene! :D I really liked the *smack* … *smack* … *smack* -thingie, nice one.

Joe made me think of the mentally damaged kid whose always banging his head against something.
I think the action releases stress for those kids.
Is Joe broken in the head..? Author Joe..! is he..? ^_-

sh4d0wfl4re on July 22, 2012 at 7:27 pm

Joe is suck a selfish fuckwit. Someone should put him in his place.

Rawrsaurous on July 22, 2012 at 7:53 pm

Hey, 2nd zombie on the door its bugged i think. I have to click at the right of the zombie to kill it

Erik on July 23, 2012 at 1:33 am

The loop of Joe hitting himself in the face with the board needs to be made into an animated gif.

Happy Vampire on July 23, 2012 at 12:24 pm

Hasn’t Joe done that before in another scene? With the wood?

The Khan on July 23, 2012 at 4:09 pm

Lol I once started lightly banging a textbook on my forehead out of boredom during school. XD I IMMEDIATELY thought of that when I saw Joe being just as ridiculous with that board! No pun intended. (bored/board) And I’m glad you finally updated!

illeatyourself on July 23, 2012 at 6:14 pm

@Joe You did it! The first interactive web comic!
You my friend will revolucionate the webcomic world!

Acrontus on July 23, 2012 at 10:35 pm

Click, click click… Nice…XD

Ter on July 24, 2012 at 1:55 am

Where did you get what you use for your art?

Doomtm2 on July 24, 2012 at 6:33 pm

Yeah, the zombies in the doorway may be a bit off since I put them so close to each other and they have big bounding boxes. Next time :D
@Dean – Awesome! I’ve never been a fan of cremation but I like the idea of “becoming” a tree :D
@Acrontus – Heh heh, there’s a lot more to come! :D
@Doomtm2 – All the art is made by me from scratch :D

Joe on July 24, 2012 at 10:52 pm

Did you notice Joe will stop hitting himself if you leave a comment? Just joe being joe lol
