Impenetrable skin. As even the vampires admit, human technology is the greatest tool. Super Strength and Super Speed would have little effect on a well-placed bullet to the head. With impenetrable skin, Joe can keep tanking, absorbing all physical damage, while using a weapon to mow down the monsters.
Then again, having impenetrable skin would make regeneration useless. Can you have impenetrable skin AND super strength? Please? PRETTY please?
Well, Speed + any Sword Like weapon would be even better than the super strength.
Even if he takes long to regenerate, if he dodges every attack it won’t matter. That’s what I would choose.
On the other hand if we think about what JOE would choose (considering his personality) Strength would be almost definitively the way to go.
i will vote for the strength because it is powerfull remember superman? HE”s got SUPER STENGTH but joe don’t have heat vision and da supah strenght can heal joe supah fast!!!!

I hate it when bullets go through my skin AND my week. I mean… what’s up with all these bullet holes in thursday? At least shoot monday if you’re gonna do that.

Noting it’s the EVIL Joe who should choose:
strength a.k.a. Power Fist? The EVIL Joe would rather die than making “good” Joe the cool and popular Power Fist again, to boost his ego…
Speed? Well, speed can be useful – making super ninja out of “good” Joe, Super Blade…
Nah, I think EVIL Joe would give impenetrable skin to “good” Joe – to be sure there will be “next time”. To be sure Joe would live long enough until he will break from the cage and take his turn…
Impenetrable skin it is.
Speed and strength can be accounted for technologically speaking. You can’t compensate the lack of skin ability with any particular technology (otherwise, humans wouldn’t had that much trouble with any thepocalyspe creatures and factions).
However, here lies a problem:
Exactly how great is his rejuvenation ability?
Will impenetrable skin keeps him from being crushed?
Exactly what is the extent of the skin ability?
If skin ability only stops sharp weapons and not the blunt ones, then the ability is rather useless against any monsters that resorts to blunt force. Only then do you get knocked out. I will have to choose super speed, only IF impenetrable skin is exactly what it says with no other quirks.
With superspeed, you can gain advantage on the battlefield by disrupting any tactical line. Excellent for infiltration, run and grab missions, and maintaining emergency supply line. But that could also be achieved (somewhat) with the skin ability, providing the impenetrable skin stop not only just sharp weaponries.
So and so, I choose:
Impenetrable skin IF resistance against blunt and other forces is included
Otherwise, superspeed
P.S. Having a cannon/rocket launcher (super strength) is rather useless if you can’t guarantee your rear is covered. Superspeed renders tactical flanking difficult for the enemy while impenetrable skin means you can leave your rear hanging loose without care and STILL pack a punch.
Defense! He can be as stupid as he wants if he’s got defense. And he likes being stupid.
So he needs it. Badly.
Sheesh, he wouldn’t be in this situation of “dying” right now if he had defense.
It’s a really interesting choice we have here, but I think it’s not really ours, it’s joe’s choice. Impenetrable skin would probably be a wise choice, because speed can be increased by an armour and a gun may replace super strengh, but I don’t think Joe would choose it. Joe never took care of himself in this story, he’s extremely confident, gets out alone in the infested street with a broken arm and no power. It wouldn’t be coherent to choose impenetrable skin. With his character, the most obvious choice would be strength.
There’s an other way though. Joe saw how “Inner Joe” (or Victor, if he really is) killed the plant monsters using only his psychokinetic abilities. I don’t know if he can get this power, because he never used it himself, but if it is an available choice, I think Joe would be really glad to mindcraft in the real world, he would feel some kind of god.
If it’s not possible, I’m pretty sure that super strengh would be his choice.
Personally, I’d vote for super speed and impenetrable skin. But if we only get one of the 3, then impenetrable skin would be great on a smart person (not Joe, obviously, but the others around him could help him with that if he’d just listen..), strength takes no brains, just a direction for one’s fist, and super speed is, well.. only a great positioning tool. Without all 3, he’s really gotta change up his game. I’d honestly stick with the strength for Joe. Seems sad, but that’s the vote I’m making.
Kinda impossible to judge which is the best pick, since we don’t know the exact nature of each power, including regeneration. When turning points like this are ahead I can’t help but lament that we’ll never see the story that would have been created by the alternative choices.
Super strength!! Powerfist needs super strength otherwise he’d need a new name.
Besides, regeneration is just as good as impenetrable skin.

Impenetrable skin is probably the best route for Joe to go, especially since they’re going to fight mental strength vampires (can distract and then attack) or a machine army (sheer number of bullets).
I’d say super strength is the most useless ability at this point. Bernie can’t exactly make a suit for Joe instantaneously, especially without the parts needed for it.
Speed could deal with the weaknesses of super strength when he has a melee weapon of some sort but like someone said Joe could still be hurt badly if he were distracted (an issue with super strength too).
I doubt Victor would give Joe the mental abilities. Those abilities are probably associated with the transfer (so it would cut off the connection to the super abilities) AND Victor probably wouldn’t be able to get out eventually, so it seems more like a lose-lose situation.
Super Strength a fun and wise route. Regeneration offers good defense, in an instant Joe can recover all wounds, Super strength would offer joe an advantage in melee combat, since he has horrible aiming.

You all forget that we are talking about Joe picking up a power, and there isnt much time to think about every pro and con of each one (Joe thinking? What was I thinking? lol). Probably, if he could, he would pick some stupid power like “eat tacos without getting full”. He is the kind of guy that hits first and asks later, so Super Strength would be the obvious choice. If we think through, Impenetrable Skin is definetly the best choice, if he still has the mind power to blow up minds (wasnt in the options), then he wouldnt really need strength. And Joe wants to be Power Fist again, so he would definetely pick up Super Strength.
I think the Impenetrable Skin ought to work, since that way at least he won’t die from the smallest of stuff making both the Strength AND the Speed useless. :3

yeah, like kulta and acadian Bacon said, impenetrable skin. Even with uber regen, he will go down in one hit all the time without the a massive “armor” boost.
Impenerable skin. He can just get a pipe or something and hit things with it while ignoring hits from other things.
i would say super speed but joe is a dick (no offense) so he going to pull a dick move i bet he says give me all my powers back
on the actual voting forum, impenetrable skin is beating super strength by 13 votes which is beating super speed by 13 votes (odd double 13) so if you want strength or speed, then actually vote

I think Joe needs defense. He’s not skilled enough to take out an opponant with strength alone. If speed came with strenght (which it should as the super strong muscles would aid in speed), then maybe offense, but even then I prefer Sun Tsu’s method of first making oneself impenitrable and then wait for one’s opponant to become penitrable… or something.
He should get super strength, and to compensate the vulnerability of his skin, Bernie should make him a suit!
Impenetrable Skin. Here’s why. Joe has to think of Evil Joe and even with the Super Strength and Regen or Speed and Regen. Impenetrable Skin is far harder to actually mimic. Remember, Bernie can make him a suit or instead of a suit, some sort of frame that goes under his clothing. Joe is armored so the Frame makes use of the skin, Speed and Strength mean if Evil Joe gets out and slugs Real Joe, it’ll hurt, but not do any real damage. Super Speed and Super Strength are far easier to mimic or remake for good Joe. The sheer armor his skin originally had was stated to be astonishing. Plus correct me if I’m wrong but, Joe has been told to have powerful mental abilities. If he trains those he could be able to Teleport could he not?

When choosing the powers though everyone needs to remember, just because Joe has the Strength to punch through tanks again doesn’t mean his body can handle it. Super Strength is how STRONG you are not how much your body can handle. Punching an armored vehicle means it still is resisting him, so that could still do damage to him possibly.
If only it wasn’t so short. Oh well!
Also some need to consider that strength and speed are awful without the impenetrable skin. If Joe decided to punch a tank with super strength and wasn’t invincible that’s a TANK his hand will full on hit then probably break every bone in his hand. And super speed if he hit on wall during a stroke of supreme stupid then he would splatter on it. As we have seen his regeneration took at least a day to take a bullet from Bernie’s OLD suit, so he cant regenerate fast enough to save himself after his body is a giant splatter on the wall.
Can I say that Joe should ask for crazy mind powers? Joe will probably say “all of the above” just to spite Victor… (feels good to actually have a name for that dark eyed bastard…)
Truely speaking though, I would preffer Joe to have super speed, but considering Joe’s mind and way of thinking, he’ll probably ask for super strength… Doof if so unfortunately, which is probable..
Impernitrible skin,all the other skills are nice,but he can make up for strength and speed with a weapon..and maybe his lil suit can be improved and grant him the extra speed and power…
I just realised… In one of the earlier episodes Jess shot Joe with a shotgun. If I recall correctly he doesn’t have any OPEN wound but still have some broken ribs that his regeneration heal.
So I’m therefore changing my vote for impenetrable skin. It will greatly weaken EvilJoe when he break free and keep Joe safe.
And to the peoples constantly asking the mind crafting ability… could you please note Samuel’s sentence in the previous episode, the one in wich he said something like “Good you still have the ability to access the dream world”? Joe doesn’t need what he already have.
Hee, I think you’re forgetting some factors, like Rosa maybe. If Joe had Imp-Skin then he can’t give blood to Rosa, though others can if they take the blood out. But if I were ‘Victor’ I’d just give him Skin so he can’t be threatened again.

It looks like Defense for the win, my personal view is Speed. (reasons to follow)
Defense is good for staying power but if you can’t catch your target you’re just a wall to be shipped at. If you opponent doesn’t try anything it might become a war of attrition but chances are they will (if smart) find more indirect ways to kill you. Examples that may be used are things such as; Toxins, Psychic/Mental attacks, Drowning, etc.
Strength is good for a multitude of reasons, one not withstanding the ability to punch holes in things before un-hole-punchable. Carrying heavy arms and equipment to become a juggernaut is another benefit such a being able to wield many things normal people cannot. The downside being that this make you a glass cannon at times. You can be mixing it up with tons of baddies and bam! Headshot and you’re done.
Speed. Speed itself is kinda a tricky one cause actually it’s not just speed, it affects damage too. My example for speed as strength is Admiral Kizaru from One Piece. The ability to move gives you a much more powerful ending point, as speed x mass = momentum. The difference would be noticeable though as both sides would probably feel the damage, but I think the ability to punch like a mack truck, and the ability to move 2x if not more then said truck and deliver the hit would win as the truck can be dodged.
If I am Joe, I will pick Super Speed. Here’s why: Bernie is a sniper, long range covered. Jess is a swordsman/explosive master, so close range and mid range covered.What’s left? No need for strength now. So super skin and super speed, should we see Joe as “The man who can block anything! The excellent blocker?” I guess not. Let’s sit down, relax and remember what’s Joe’s strength, mind-crafting! So I suggest super speed. Dodge every bullet, get to a safe place, mindcraft the hell out of the enemies. Super speed will do just fine.

I love how some people are thinking SO critically, and thinking there is a disadvantage to getting any skill.
There are only disadvantages for NOT getting a skill.
Although I think joe will need speed, strength, and tough skin to do the most powerful powerspin evar!!1!

Impenitrable skin was Joe’s trademark throughtout the comic. And think about it this way. If he can’t get hurt he can punch things without second thought so his punches can be stronger anyway! Also he can ‘try’ to learn how to use weapons.

Since vote is close debate is pointles but I want to answer to Blank who brings up a valid point. My only answers is that before when Rosa first had to drink blood Victor/EvilJoe was protecting GoodJoe with impenetrable skin at the time and he just turned it of on purpose. We can guess that since the power is now handed to Joe he will be able to turn it off at will just like Evil Joe did.

I like how everybody has considered which power Joe gets from Joe’s perspective. This totally misses the point that it is Inner Joe / Victor that has to make the choice and so will choose according to what benefits him most. This choice may or may not coincide with what benefits Joe most. Plus he’s a little pressed for time.
I’d go with the skin. While it would be nice to have powerfist back I think it would be easier to just give Joe a gun or another weapon rather than having him get injured.

If a read correctly in Joe’s comment “So Joe has an interesting decision to make!” and in the comic, at the end InnerJoe furiously ask “WWhich other power? Wich one?” Doesn’t really sound like someone who is asked to make a decision. Also Samuel say to GoodJoe something like “it’s your choice”.
The obvious answer should be telekinesis.
Failing that, I’ve always preferred speed myself, but I don’t think the good Joe (or, at least, the not-so-evil Joe) is smart enough to use it well.
So, yea, I agree it’s easier to give Joe good-enough weapons than good-enough armor considering how many people want him, so take the impenetrable skin.
