Go Back to Where You Came From? | July 12, 2011

by Joe

I stumbled upon a very interesting show from Australia called, “Go Back to Where You Came From“. It’s a 3-part show based on an experiment where a group of people with varying social, racial, and political viewpoints are sent to places that currently shelter refugees (legal or not). The volunteers are made to live like and with the refugees to get a better sense of what’s it’s like to be in the shoes of a person who has been forced to flee from their country due to war, in this case.

Personally, I think that refugees should be welcomed into privileged countries, but I do understand the argument that too many refugees could lead to economic and social issues for the country that opens its borders with loving arms. Sure, it’s a tough call, but I feel that every human being has a right to a safe home and if more people were understanding and accepting of refugees, maybe more suffering families could be pulled from their war-torn countries and comforted by a caring nation, even just temporarily. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but this is a powerful show that could be an eye-opener for many and I’m sure there are others like it. Check it out :D

It also got me thinking about the zombie apocalypse. What if only one country is affected? Will other nations accept non-infected refugees from that country or will the risk be too great to save the innocent, healthy citizens? What do you think?

Enjoy Scene 17 – “Behind the Books”!

Please continue to vote! :D Bug’s sketch is still the incentive! Thank you for voting everyday!

You know what I think? A. He works for the machines. B. There are 2 rows of PERFECT 5. The other one has one missing. My guess is there are 15 people like Joe. 14 were captured. He’s gonna use the blood to maybe Upgrade the machines. And he takes regular people who happed to be walking by to see if there the 15th. Thats just a guess.

The Pocalypse is getting much more interesting than I ever tought it would be (yeah, I was there since the very beginning of the comic xD)

Maybe you should think about translating The Pocalypse to other languages, it sure has potential (then, if you try the brazilian public I can help xD)

Ehhh my main assumption on the business in the background :x
Is that its possibly, a vampire speaking to him, or maybe scrufflebeck? hell its probrably one of the machines thats accessed his mind to see through his eyes and of course, know his name his Bernie.
THEN as bernie’s gone into the room, he sees all those bodies, and I believe they’re being used to have maybe their brain-wave patterns implanted into the machines? Like, the machines are blank, and are given the ability to think via having brain wave patterns copied over and these minds linked up to the machines are controlling said machines but there also um..controllable?
So…yeah ;D
I have this urge to do fanart for some reason D:

Maybe he is making the terminators…
And I thought Scrufflebeck didn’t like books because it was made from plants.

Lol my best guess is that one of the peoples in that room was a captured vampire who was still consious and could access the dream world.Or maybe when a human is on the edge of death he also can access the dream world. And ofc these people are the previous ones that were *guests* at gregory’s house but werent lucky enough to get saved by scott.

Mummies?

Machines, zombies, nukes, vampires, I think all of these have been done once as an apocalypse trope, but I’m never seen a Mummy apocalypse before.

…If that’s what it is

Great episode! I have a question, though: How does that room fit in the same space as the room scott dragged the group into? or are there corridors not shown that space the rooms out?

*fucking and also when that voice tells Bernie about the door, is it coming from the inside because you did say “come in and see for yourself” if not it needs to be “GO in and see for yourself.”

Eep! >.< That music that you put at the end creeped me out so much. It's the middle of the night too, not something I want to listen too at the moment.. xP I turned my sound off to write the comment. =X
