Heading backcountry camping this weekend for the first time! No car, no BBQ, no cooler… just a canoe, tent, campfire, water filter straw, protein bars, and snacks :D
I love camping but I’ve never tried backcountry canoe camping. I’m way more excited than nervous but the area we’re going to does have bear sightings! We’ll be hanging our attractants (like food) out of reach and bringing an air horn to scare off any potential curious beasts but my stupid brain flashes The Revenant scene from time to time :D Wish me luck and send some of that bear-repellent karma my way! Oh, there’s wolves, too but one predator at a time, please ;D
Any tips for a first-timer?
(I’m mostly joking – bear sightings are EXTREMELY rare. I’ll be fine!)

I KNEW this had Bernard’s scent on it… I just didn’t figure it was indirect. It didn’t occur to me that the experiments might be acting by themselves. Or is Bernard still directly involved, but just hasn’t revealed himself?
Nice to have some connections back to some older plots details, I was really looking forward to confriming my suspicion of who “Simon” was. I’m cringing at the thought of Bernie attacking the colony, I hope Joe gets his ass back to New Hammerston.
