Screw the Doc, he’s made a deal with the devil and he’ll have to deal with it. Save the soldiers and sacrifice the Doc.

If it were just a choice between saving Doc and saving soldiers, then screw Doc. Brilliant as he is, he’s only one man and his worth isn’t equal to a squad of innocent people. That’s the great thing about humans, we all have the potential to be important and make a difference. Losing Doc would be a blow but it’s not like he’s the only example of a brilliant human. Just look at what Bernie did when he put his mind to it, or how effective Jake and his men were when given a shot.
The only real debate is giving up troops with the “promise” that the Elder will leave (He in no way stated that he’d release Doc either) or saying no and having to deal with a super-powered un-dead who can kill people with a thought. P
Personally I’m still for making a stand.
Time for a third option, Bernie. Get a grating song stuck in your head and go a-vampire-huntin’.

Hmm… Save the Doc who is irreplaceable or Save some faceless, soldiers who are not qualified to do any other job than the one with the highest death rate… I choose the third option, JOE KICKING SOME ABOMINATION ASS.
I’ve been doing some research on how combination names work. I’ll discuss about the words, zompire and vambie. You’re a zompire if your a zombie bit by a zombie infected by a vampire. your’re a vambie if your a vampire infected by a zombie. so the first part of the word comes from the original being, then the second part of the word comes from the infector. what I’m getting at is vambie would be the more “correct” thing to say because a zompire would be mindless due to the zombie virus wiping the mind first. K? even so, zompire sounds cooler anyways

If these people are useless, well, I disagree with you. Some people may be more useful than others, because they are greater in some ways (intellect, strategy, etc) and because their competences can achieve far more things for the community. It’s not a given that 20 soldiers are as worth as one genius. If this genius can save humanity and cure the zombie virus, for example, I’m sorry but these soldiers aren’t indispensable.
