Webcomics Still Live! | September 18, 2019

by Joe

I just realized I haven’t mentioned the new ad network on the right column of the site, next to the scene :D I’m sure you’ve all noticed!

The Pocalypse owes a lot of its early exposure to the late, great Project Wonderful, which unfortunately shut down last year. I recently discovered a similar ad network, ComicAd, that caters almost exclusively to webcomics. The Pocalypse has definitely lost a lot of traffic and readers over the years (especially after the long hiatus) and ComicAd is still relatively small so there’s not much mutual benefit yet but at least we can direct some traffic to other creators and storytellers who are doing what I’m doing :D

If something looks interesting up there, check it out! Also, let me know if something looks like it shouldn’t be on our page and I’ll get it removed!

Enjoy Scene 15 – “One Man Army”!

You can follow The Pocalypse on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates!

You can also support The Pocalypse by being a Patreon Patron! Thank you! :D

My prediction is that Adrian will die in his pointless vendetta. Consequently, his children will have to rely on uncle Joe and the New Hammerston colony.

I fear that Joe will lose yet another brother on this, but nothing can be done about it now. I wish I could say that “at least Simon will be killed in the process” but I’m sure he has something under his sleeve. If only Jess was awake… I’m sorry to hear about project wonderful, I bet it was because of them that I stumbled upon your work back in 2012. I hope you recover the traffic you used to have and also the old readers with this new company.

i didn’t realize i had adblocker enabled here. should perhaps make an auto ‘you got ad blocker enabled please disable it for this websites maintenance revenue’ or something. you literally only have ONE ad space! not many places have one or 0! By default i try to remember to disable it on any webcomic site… unless it has like 10 ads. but it seems like 90% webcomic sites barely have any ads as is! and theyre usually to other webcomics!

I like anonymous’ prediction. Running high on emotions never gets anyone anywhere. Only feel good vendetta actiony movies do that. Real life? not so much.

I wonder if it was project wonderful, or something else that had me stumble upon this beautiful webcomic all those years ago. We’re growing old together Joe! (although I’m 26 now so thats not THAT old. although I feel old compared to all the college kids I see everyday)

It’s taken me a couple months, reading just a few scenes here and there, but I’m finally caught up! Very good story, just as good as I was hoping it’d be. Good work Joe!

Also Joe, I noticed you stopped reminding people to vote on TopWebComics, and with how many people that follow this comic on social media there’s definitely not enough people voting. Couple reminders in Twitter and the like should shoot you up the ranks pretty good now, I’d think. Updating the voting reward would help too, right now it’s broken. ;)

Maybe I’m just a baby, but that Danger Zone One ad looks sort of suggestive. The character can’t just look like that as a stylistic choice.

I went to the site, I really don’t think that should be here. Again though, maybe I’m just being a baby.
