Thanks for all the well-wishes, everyone! My vacation was great!
We drove down to Izu Peninsula, about a 2-hour drive from my place. Nothing recharges my batteries better than swimming in the ocean on a hot day and lying down on the beach under a parasol :D The drive around the peninsula was amazing, too. Driving through and around mountains made me pretend that I was Initial-D’ing down the mountainous roads of Japan in my little rented Toyota Corolla. Of course, with a baby in the car, I was pretending at a steady 30km/h ;) Maybe not as exciting as Initial D, but it was a blast :D Getting into a car and seeing the side-streets, where buses and trains can’t get to, also reminded me how much I love Japan. The sights and sounds that you experience when you’re away from tour groups and schedules are priceless and well worth the drive :D It’s gonna be tough to leave Japan, let me tell ya!
Anyways, thanks for your patience! I’m super glad to hear that many of you have missed the updates! I just want to let everyone know that The Pocalypse no longer has a set schedule, but more of a “target time”. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights, Eastern Standard Time, are what I aim for, but I may not make it sometimes. Sometimes it could be Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, sometimes Monday, Thursday, Sunday, but I definitely want to keep 3 updates a week going. Feel free to follow The Pocalypse to stay updated! :D
