Too Many Games, Not Enough Consoles | April 7, 2020

by Joe

FF7 Remake is coming out in a few days and I want to play it almost as much as I wanted to play the original back when it released on PSX (god, I’m old). But, of course, I don’t have a PS4 and I, unfortunately for my inner child, am a reasonably fiscally-responsible adult who already has one family-friendly console. Plus, I still have a list of games I want to play on it (still haven’t picked up either game I mentioned last week!). I’m going to *sigh* be a patient gamer, avoid spoilers (even though I know the story like the back of my hand), and wait for the PC release :(

Guess we’re going to have to adress Harry with a Dr. now eh?

Everything suddenly started feeling time-skip-y, like I’d almost expect that to happen. I guess expectations are forming out of the things I watch and read. Well anyway, I like this momentary period of relaxation. Some lingering worries about plants, and since we don’t have a regular eye on machines, we have no idea how much they are progressing, how fast. We know they like to play it very safe, but not much else.

The vampires have also been silent. I wonder if some Old World/European vampires are intending some kind of trip… Or if the local vampires are intending to mobilize more aggressively. In this lull, there is kind of a huge question mark on… everything. I appreciate it while it’s here, but I’m sure things will get crazy again soon.

I don’t like them referring to Harry as an AI. It sounds like it’s foreshadowing the machines assimilating/corrupting him, and I like Harry! He’s always given me Jarvis vibes, and although I’m sure Bernard Sr. game him the Three Laws of Robotics (and an “if_Corruption=1; TurnEvilCost=999999999” line of code), even that might not be enough. When a machine FORCES you to change, resistance is futile.

Also, I’d say “ten bucks dreadlocks doesn’t make it,” but he has incredible luck, so more likely Doc makes something to make him “stronger.” Possibly a suit, but probably just a gun.
