First Blood: More Zombies, Please | October 17, 2010

by Joe

I watched my first Rambo movie the other day, First Blood. As many of you already know, First Blood is the first Rambo movie, released back in ’82 (Stallone looks like a kid, doesn’t he?).

I must say, I enjoyed it! Not the greatest movie of all time or anything, but it was surprisingly deeper than I thought it was going to be. And the line, “Don’t push it or I’ll give you a war you won’t believe. Let it go. Let it go.” is incredibly badass and cool :)

But, as I was watching John Rambo survive in the forest, all I could think was, “There should be zombies in this movie.” How awesome would it have been if Rambo was trying to survive the zombie apocalypse instead of just hiding from some angry sheriff?

Okay, maybe, just maybe, it wouldn’t be the same movie anymore :) So, someone should make a movie like that :D Unless there already is one and I don’t know about it. Is there a zombie movie out there that has the same guerilla warfare and survival elements as First Blood? Let me know, I’d love to watch it :)

Enjoy Scene 5 – “Welcome to the Base”!

Is “Food me!” a spelling error?

Anyway, this is awesome. especially Joe’s personality.
Thinking that the Pocalypse filled with all sort of nightmare stuff is awesome.

Dead Snow kind of fits that bill, it’s a Norwegian film. Nazi Zombies.

If you like that kind of survival thing there’s also a film called Dog Soldiers about some soldiers on a training exercise in the Scottish highlands who get fucked up by a family of werewolves. Good fun :P

“The vampires, too. Not the wuss Twilight vampires, either. We’re talking the “I will fuck you up,” kind of vampires.”
For this line alone I love you!!

HAHAHAHA This is awesome Joe!
Love the style and the format of the comic! Plays like an old school RPG game cutscene which is awesome!. Can’t believe you have been pumping out a scene every 2 days. Thats pretty crazy to keep up with that! lol. Looking forward to more episodes!! The story is coming along well and shaping up nicely and very interesting. Can’t wait to see whats in store! And can’t wait to see more of ur wicked apocalytic pixel back drops. Awesome art and detail =)
Talk to you soon!

Hey I’m really liking the concept and humor and I love the early video game dynamic but if you did one of these a week instead of every couple of days it would be a lot more fun to read. If it was a good 7-10 minutes of action and comedy then it would be much more enjoyable.

Just my thoughts.
Keep em coming

It would be nice if the dialogue stayed on the screen longer so I could actually read everything without having to refresh the page. Or you could insert a pause after each dialogue; that would work, too.

Sorry to double post, but I noticed a grammatical error. Bernie says “But it’s a lot worse than THAN an apocalypse…”
