Less Than Two Weeks! | December 8, 2011

by Joe

I can’t believe how fast time is flying! I’ll be in Canada in less than two weeks, Christmas is three days after, 2012 is a week after that, then I’m back in Japan a week later! And, in the middle of all the craziness, we’re releasing an iOS game, its Flash counterpart, and as much The Pocalypse as I can do! :D It’ll be a fun-filled few weeks, that’s for sure!

Enjoy Scene 45 – “Mission Accomplished”!

Please continue to vote and check out the new Scrufflebeck’s sketch! :D Thank you for voting everyday!

You can follow The Pocalypse on Facebook, Twitter and RSS, too!

Grrrrrr, I’m still pissed at Roth. I’ll admit I’m a little sad to see that Bug didn’t “survive”. We know so little about mutants and he seemed like a mutant among mutants. I’m really curious if the “Sam” brain in the factory was really him or just a double in a clone brain. I’m leaning more toward a double.

Really, there’s not many things that can get in the way of an angry Werewolf.

personally i’m betting that bug was at one point a werewolf like greybane(possibly part of the same pack)

I’m betting he was either referring to their “rivalry”, such as Greybane enjoyed hunting/fighting him, he was just calling him that for the sake of drama (though he didn’t do that personally, not the right type), or they really had some relationship before the whole mutant change. I doubt they knew each other before though, as if you haven’t forgotten, Greybane only calls him Bug because he didn’t know his real name. It’s sort of like how when a hero or military force of some kind doesn’t know the name of the “evil mastermind”, they’ll give him a name like “Bowler Hat Guy” or “Fat Santa”. And I am also betting on that being a duplicate of Sam’s brain. He got it because the glass thing holding Sam in place probably broke in that explosion, especially since a metal door a foot thick did as well. Back to Greybane and Bug, he said “Rest in hell” because Bug was caught in the explosion, implied by our “hero’s” question, “How did you survive that blast?”. If Greybane was caught in it, Bug must have been too, since he was in a containment cell of some kind in that room rather than being able to move allowing him to escape. I still doubt he’s dead though, as if he couldn’t survive the explosion like Greybane did, then he couldn’t have survived Greybane and other forces before now.
Now on another note, the explosion. HOW did a simple exploding robot destroy an otherwise indestructible door made of a foot-thick wall of metal? That just seems unlikely, especially if the explosion somehow eradicated the room on the other side, which must have happened or it would otherwise be obvious how Greybane survived. Then again, the brain survived it too…

I doubt that the brain is a clone or a double, because before Sam left Joe’s mind in the last episode, he talked about the perfect mind like the brain said. I think that when Bernie’s father rescued Sam, like he is a master engineer, maybe he built a temporary robot body to Sam’s brain, but something must have gone wrong and the body became self conscious, so apparently we can blame Sam and Bernie’s dad for a little bit of the Pocalypse. Also, like we don’t know the origins of the mutants nor Greybane and his particular mutation (doesn’t mean that there are more werewolves), maybe they were friends and got caught in the middle of something that turned them. It’s still not said how new mutants appear (if it’s possible), we know that there are 2 viruses that cause transformation, zombie and vampire, but nothing about the mutants. One day our questions will all be answered, I hope so.

Wait, he saved a brain in a jar?
…. THEY SAVED HITLER’S BRAIN. (I refuse to jump to more logical conclusions when I can reference classic awful films.)

Nice to see one of the story-lines is starting to wrap up nicely. Well done. Greybane is a kick-arse werewolf! I just hope Scrufflebeck is okay.

I’m betting that Sam has doubles in EVERY machine city, running the whole place, and an original is kept in the one mentioned earlier, the one spanning a whole continent. And I’m guessing that’s where Bernie’s dad will be as well.
