odds are, the malicious coding is a advertisement. usually is. trick is to isolate it and give it the boot :3
@Glich: Indeed. I doubt it’s the Project Wonderful ads, so it’s probably the Google ones.
It’s not as simple as just isolating it and kicking it out, though, you have to find it first. :(

Joe, Just wondering if there are any plans at this point to increase these a bit? I know the new job has been taking up a lot of time and all. However im thinking 1 a month or even every 3 months is just a bit too much. It is hard to follow the story now as by the time the next one is out I’ve forgotten what happened in the last one.

Wow… So many comments since last month… And a large portion of them have to do with a virus infecting this site??? Just what happened while I was gone… Some hacker came and plugged a self-destruct mechanism or something? :P
Oh, well… It might just be the machines trying to cross over to this world to tell Joe to hurry up because they can’t continue dominating the world if they are frozen in time. lol
If such a thing did happen, I’d blame C-Joe, he probably is desperate for news of his sister right now and willing to allow the machines take over to fulfill his goals! lol
Joking aside,I hope the virus is easier to eradicate than the zombie-virus…
Joe, as much as I hate to say it, it may be time to just hard reset the site. I know little to nothing about website programming, but it almost seems like it would be easier to just wipe everything than find the virus every time it appears.
@pseudonym> He should make sure to save all the scenes in a disc first, it would be a TRUE Pocalypse if he accidentally deleted all those scenes without back-up… *shudder*

It was a Blackhole Exploit kit, it’s freakin’ everywhere nowadays, and it came here because by the definition of a “malware” it spreads itself through loopholes, weaknesses and un-updated software.
Yeah, I’m sure it was automated malware and no one was actually targeting The Pocalypse directly :D I don’t wanna jinx it but since we haven’t gotten a warning in a while, do you think we got it? Thank you all for your help and advice! :D

Hey guys, it’s gonna be okay. I had a dream where Joe and Annika were reunited and I’m kinda psychic so maybe it will all work out.
Any chance we could get a new scene in the near future? Or possibly an ETA?
Joe, just a thought, would it be possible for you to create an ETA till the next scene at the top of the pocalypse. Just a suggestion to stop the mass of comments saying “when will the next scene be uploaded?”. It would work really well if you did it for each scene.

Joe, I have 0 experience in anything related to the Pocalypse. I do, however, have a tad bit of experience with Pixel Art back when I used to lay Minecraft religiously. I wasn’t half bad either. In short, I would be willing to try and help design a few sprites for you if you are strapped for time.

This was/is my favourite webcomic, but i haven’t visited your page for half a year because things have been standing so still.
Joe, I wish it were a false alarm, but you may need to check the site for infection… again. Which is terribly frustrating, though I’m sure it’s more so for you. When I visited this morning, I received a warning from Avast! that it prevented a trojan from executing on the page, rather then the ‘suspicious activity’ warning/block from google, as before. I don’t know if some hacker is trying to take advantage of the site’s pending return to being listed as clean publicly, or if there’s an infectious advertisement or what, but I hope you can get it figured out. I really love your work, and I know this kind of idiocy really throws a monkey wrench in your job, making it harder to focus on the comic itself. If it’s at all helpful, the trojan Avast! detected was JS:Includer-AJE. I wish I could give more details, such as what function, script, or file it’s piggybacking on, but unfortunately that was all I could get out of Avast!, and I don’t have the expertise to go digging through the source view to any meaningful degree. You really need to get this site fixed, my AVG is screaming murder every time I open this page. It already blocked 4 different types of malware for me. I don’t get any Avast warnings anymore, do you? It sucks that I have to manually wipe the site clean after every warning but I’ve been getting a lot of great advice from all of you and I hope to figure this out one day haha :D

Me too now with the viruses,im getting multiple AVG messages saying its a blackhole root kit. To get this far without being blocked by avg was a challenge!
