Thank you all so much for an AWESOME start to the The Pocalypse Defense 2 campaign! As I write this, we’re almost at $1,000 and we have a ton of time left! If you have the means to, please fund as soon as you can, so we can keep the momentum and exposure going! :D

Please, please don’t forget to spread the campaign:

Feel free to use the banner I made below and if you need a different-sized banner made up, please contact me and I’ll gladly send it to you! If you’re on Twitter, I’m using the hashtag #ThePocalypseDefense2 when I tweet about the campaign!

I’ve submitted the news to a few game sites, but I know there are more out there. What’s your favourite game news site? I want The Pocalypse Defense 2 to be known by as many people as possible!

If you’re on Reddit, please help me upvote the crap out of this link :D http://www.reddit.com/r/IndieGaming/comments/tayv0/the_pocalypse_defense_2_rpg_and_tower_defense/ I’ll post more and more updates on Reddit as we go :D

Thank you again and please keep supporting the project! Let’s make it happen! :D

Enjoy Scene 4 – “What If He’s Right?”! We haven’t seen the original crew in such a long time, I had to give ’em a small part :D Sorry about the long wait, last week was pretty insane!

Don’t the characters have a more varied vocabulary on expressing their surprise? D: Jeez.

AcadianBacon on May 8, 2012 at 2:13 pm

@AcadianBacon – Haha! Now that you mention it, it’s likely the most-used word in The Pocalypse! :D

Joe on May 8, 2012 at 2:32 pm

Nice episode. Keep them coming. :D PS can’t wait to play the game… :D

Ichigo Kurosaki on May 8, 2012 at 3:03 pm

@AcadianBacon Haha, it doesn’t seem that they do :P

Atty on May 8, 2012 at 4:09 pm

Best scene yet Joe.
@ABacon: If they were to use the proper vocab that people would use in these situations it would be a little more than just PG, think of it as translated nicely.

Silverware on May 8, 2012 at 4:19 pm

That was awesome! :D

Rasmus Nielsen on May 8, 2012 at 7:27 pm

@ABacon I agree. Maybe they could say “Are you Serious?!”

DramaNoMore on May 9, 2012 at 6:29 am

I think that was a bad idea, Bernie.

zach on May 9, 2012 at 7:41 am

Yay, Joe and acquaintances are back! XD And yeah, Bernie has been getting really lenient and careless when it comes to Joe and what info he gives him.

When Joe says “Then I’m gonna kick all ‘yo asses.” The apostrophe in the ‘yo should be over to the right, saying “yo'” instead.

Good scene. I liked the snow effect. It took me by surprise. But the blood pouring out of the cabinet I found to be particularly… mysterious, in that I don’t know what purpose it serves. Is there some blood-filled cabinet somewhere that someone’s going to open up at some point?
Is it a metaphor for something? If so, what? Dang, it’s left me baffled.

Oh well.

I’m looking forward to seeing Joe’s reaction to that news, and I’m hoping it’s generally lukewarm due to him trying to downplay how much he cares about Rosa. But maybe… maybe it’s about time Joe moved on, romantically speaking. I mean, I would be happy seeing them both move forward, even if it’s not the most innately romantic thing that could happen. And remember the old saying: “If you marry on the strength of puppy love, you’ll end up leading a dog’s life.”
I kind of think they had a puppy-love thing going on… so I believe them going their separate ways isn’t the worst thing that could happen.

Taioko on May 9, 2012 at 6:59 pm

Actually, Tai, I’m not sure that’s correct. Using ‘yo’ instead of ‘your’ doesn’t really have a proper use, so there really isn’t any rule dictating how it should be done. Because it’s done for character/voice, as long as the author uses it the same way every time he uses ‘that’ voice, there isn’t a wrong way to use that apostrophe, especially because he’s omitting the word ‘of.’

Willy on May 10, 2012 at 2:06 am

Hmm… I see what you’re saying. I didn’t assume he was omitting an entire word, so I arrived at a different conclusion. OK. That makes sense. But it does make me wonder if the apostrophe even belongs there at all… I understand about character voices and all that, and I see where you’re coming from, but it -does- make me wonder if the “‘yo” ought to be like that.

But as you’ve shown, there’s reasoning for it. I suppose that apostrophes often rely on the audience’s knowledge of what was contracted, don’t they?
Even if I contested the line’s grammatical accuracy, I smirked upon reading it the first time. Good ol’ Joe. I hope things end up well for him and that they don’t spiral down a more tragic route.
