Now that I’m in sprite-making mode, I’ve been working on the units and enemies that you’ll be controlling/fighting :D Some common feedback I receive is how The Pocalypse needs more variety in its zombie population. Here’s 3 new zombie-types that will appear in TPD2 and 1 that you’re all familiar with :D

“Ah…um yes I am a taxi driver” Funniest line I’ve heard in a while. Joe is still very unlikable and apparently very gullible.
Not only is it that every time they talk he is trying to convince him to stay, Joe also never has any of his memories. someone needs to get him some sort of journal or something

Also, I am taking on a bit of a project for the Pocalypse. But I need your help. I need you to tell me a sprite you like(besides a character), and I will build it in Minecraft. I have almost all, if not all, of the characters ready to be made. So let me know about doors or a TV or something if you want the sprite in the collection.

That’s right, Taioko. In fact, the added ‘u’ implies British upbringing. Like with colour, or flavour. Plenty of other differences between American and British English that I can’t quite think of right this moment.

just well a diffrence between the zombies would be great, like give the one hair, other one bold diffrent color clothing stuff like that, that would be so much better then one model used over and over again

Way back Bernie mentioned something about underwater monsters. Will there be any scenes under water?
For a second, I thought Joe was like a normal person with realistic feelings and emotions.
I think that vampire might be Rosa undercover, or maybe not… I can’t wait to see how this will turn out :D Amnesia from brain damage, amnesia from trauma, amnesia from gunfight… Common things in the entertainment industry but “amnesia from the ‘soul’ of another – superhuman – person trapped inside your body that is not even yours” is quite new I think. We got a new trope going on here :D
(I’m just theorizing here of course, but I think that’s why Annika didn’t recognize Joe in the last filler scene, because it’s not his body.)
Also (author) Joe, where is the Leaper Zombie that jumps on your troops from a distance or the Tonguer Zombie which pulls your forces close to the enemy? I miss those :D
Don’t worry though, stealing ideas from the best (Valve) is not a crime ;)
gee that was interesting (sorry my laptop died and was without a computer awhile and been trying to get a lot of things back) anyhow is the offer to be an npc sprite still up? If so will it be up till the end of this week or did I miss it already?

Well, I’m out of basic now and I just got caught up again. My guess is Joe will turn the vampire down when he realizes he never told him his sister’s name.

@APStorm, yeah, I know about the whole British thing with the spellings. Initially it was, “Damn you British spellings! Curse you!!!” but I felt that some people might take that the wrong way when it was meant as a carefree joke. So I changed before clicking “Submit” and I don’t regret it. :V
That said, it gets me thinking about if the vampire is British, like some of the other older vampires.
Wouldn’t surprise me.

Just finished catching ALL the way up from the start of the comic to here. And dammit Joe, you’re like the king of cliffhangers or something! I’ve loved reading/watching/drinking this comic, and I can’t wait for more!

Joe’s denial is appaling. I never took him for much anyways. I really am tired of him at the moment. But he’s a realistic character so i feel for him. I don’t think i’d take the end of the world that seriously.

Yes, the new zombies (and the other enemies, which I’ll be posting on future blogs!) may find their way into the comic! More challenges for our heroes :D
@Wayne Mangham – Yes! Sorry about that! The site was down for about 2 days due to a server issue with our server company. They were able to resolve the issue and hopefully it won’t happen again :D

@Erik & robo247 – TPD2 is taking up most of my time and, unfortunately, I can’t (and shouldn’t) make update promises anymore :( Once a week seems to be working for now but even that could change. After TPD2, we have more game projects to work on so I’ll have to see where my time is best allocated. Thank you for waiting and bearing with my schedule! :D

It just seemed that all enemies zombies are guys. What happened to the girls who fell to the clutches of the zombies? Were they dismembered and can’t hunt? Are they smarter than the average zombie or else use the male zombies as slaves in the way of Amazons? Cause, seriously at least one female should have fallen to the zombie disease in the Pocalypse :p
@Joe I follow the comic without commenting… After you release TPD2 even if you have others games remember that this comic is more important… Most of the people that funded your campaign did it because of the comic, if it all just were TPD1 all the people that follow you would have just moved on with theirs lives…
Anyway I really loves this comic… Its just fun to watch and read so please dont dare to give priority to others things after you release TPD2 (which I’m waiting for)… Life first, Comic second and other games third :)
